MATTERS OF PERCEPTION
AVIA||ΝΟΙΑ Matters of Perception is a collection of digital images. Exploring the algorithmic profile of matter, putting the gravity more on the information side, using a geometry-algebra-algorithm-program logic we try to explore generative systems of forms with multiple hidden levels of symmetry. Then we capture an image emphasizing the viewer’s perception aiming to evoke bewilderment, curiosity and a sense of eurhythmy as aesthetic statement.
AVIA||NOIA’s logo symbol is inspired by 2 shapes related to infinity. A simple algorithm orchestrated Mobius loops, the never-ending one-sided strips, into a ring-torus-like shape where coexist and intermingle. Tori are fold products of circles, the shape with the infinite lines of symmetry. Although no circles are there you can feel their presence.
